INTERCASTING LAUNCHES NEW CLOUD-BASED ANTHEM® PLATFORM DESIGNED TO MAKE THE AVERAGE MOBILE PHONE "SMARTER"
Intercasting Corporation, the leading mobile social connectivity company, has released a significant upgrade to its award-winning ANTHEM platform, the most widely-used social application platform in the mobile industry today. In addition to powering mobile social networking, ANTHEM will now support a host of key communication services including email, instant messaging and other social applications, an industry first. The entire solution is "cloud" hosted and includes unified messaging, device integration and an application portal, enabling a "smart phone" experience for the billion-plus feature phones on the market today.
"Our latest ANTHEM release raises the bar for social application deployment in the mobile space," said Shawn Conahan, Founder and CEO, Intercasting Corporation. "Our carrier and OEM customers now have a cost-effective and low-touch solution to dynamically plug in and integrate the most in-demand consumer applications driving mobile usage today."
The unique hosted architecture of the ANTHEM platform allows dynamic and engaging applications to be developed and maintained server side. This hosted approach enables applications to be rendered on mobile devices either via a preloaded "player" or integrated directly into the device UI. Future applications and features can therefore be plugged in with no client upgrade required.
For mobile consumers, the new, tiled user interface is an indispensable tool that can be personalized to manage all types of social communication. Compelling new features such as cross-partner media publication and unified messaging provide one-click access to phone contacts, popular social sites, IM and email, enabling interaction across the user's entire personal network from one central place.
"We know that today's mobile user is more connected than ever before, said Kevin Thau, Director of Mobile Business Development at Twitter. "With instant access to their social community at their fingertips, consumers are used to being constantly updated about where their friends are and what they're doing. Intercasting understands our philosophy and with this new product has created a user-interface that will have more people Twittering than ever before."
For mobile operators and device manufacturers, Intercasting provides the most comprehensive social connectivity API suite in existence today. Intercasting brings the ease and flexibility of Web development to traditional mobile environments such as J2ME, BREW, RIM, Windows Mobile, Symbian, etc. The ANTHEM platform enables the creation, delivery and management of applications using common Web technologies such as XML, CSS, and Javascript greatly simplifying service development and deployment. Rounding out ANTHEM's product suite is an app store that simplifies the discovery and management of application services.
Additionally, this cloud-based solution enables partners to efficiently create, deploy and add other value-added derivative products such as a network address book, content vault, ad server, presence and more.
This ANTHEM upgrade is now available to mobile operators worldwide. Existing Intercasting customers will be upgraded to the new technology starting this quarter.
