Javelin is First Fully-Qualified CMOS PA Supplier Shipping in 3G Smartphones

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Javelin Semiconductor, Inc., innovator of the world’s first high-performance CMOS 3G power amplifier (PA), today announced that Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., has selected Javelin’s JAV5501 Band I PA for new Galaxy smartphones. The initial Samsung phone model available with Javelin’s PA is the Galaxy Ace Plus, a mid-range Android-based 3G smartphone. Following the widely popular Galaxy Ace, the Galaxy Ace Plus features a larger 3.65 inch display, faster 1 GHz processor, 5 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

The JAV5501 is the first CMOS 3G PA in volume production with a leading smartphone manufacturer.
