Mike Navarre Joins Mobile Entertainment Forum as GM Americas

The Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF), the global trade association for the mobile media industry has appointed Mike Navarre as general manager, MEF Americas. In this role, he will promote the MEF charter to accelerate mobile entertainment adoption, shape regulation and deliver competitive advantage to its members.

"We are very pleased to welcome Mike Navarre to the MEF team," said Jim Beddows, chair, MEF Americas. "As we lead the push to drive mobile entertainment adoption and promote industry best practices, Mike will aid in our localization efforts by tackling industry challenges and promoting key initiatives including the mobile value chain analysis, content sales reporting and mobile video."

Mr. Navarre brings 20 years experience in sales and marketing on behalf of companies that range from big media to trade media. In his previous role at ContentNext Media, Mr. Navarre handled advertising and event marketing for clients making the transition from traditional to digital media. He brings an extensive trade and digital media background that encompasses alliances at CTIA, CES, NATPE, NAB, as well as experience helping to build industry-leading publications and conferences.
