my1voice Enhancements Make Virtual Phone Service for Small Business Even Easier to Use
New auto-attendant and caller ID options give small business users more flexibility while saving time and effort
OTTAWA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- my1voice, the feature-rich virtual phone service for small business, today announced the addition of several new enhancements making it even easier to take full advantage of all its capabilities. The new features, all of which are the direct result of customer feedback, reflect my1voice’s commitment to providing small businesses with performance normally found only in large corporate phone systems.
Small businesses can now select to have their caller ID display the my1voice extension the caller chose before answering a call. For a one- or two-person office that has set up several extensions to give the impression that the organization is larger than it is, this capability allows the person answering the phone to know how to greet a caller, e.g. “This is sales, how may I help you?” or “Thank you for calling XYZ Company’s customer service department.”
For some organizations, the ability to change phone greetings quickly is important. my1voice answered that need by providing buttons in the online user interface that simplify the process. Click on the button and my1voice calls the phone tied to that account, initiating a recording session that enables greetings to be easily updated.
“One of the most precious commodities in a small business is time,” said Steve Adams, vice president of marketing for Protus, the provider of my1voice. “When it comes to answering customer calls, a few minutes saved here and there really add up. Our customers have told us what we need to do to help them with this challenge and we’ve responded. It’s a great example of ‘crowdsourcing’ from a very involved crowd.”
my1voice is a virtual phone service for small businesses that provides features of a professional-quality telephone service without the overhead of installing and maintaining special equipment. It allows businesses to connect teams under one business phone number that directs to unlimited extensions and enhanced voicemail regardless of location or phone type. Features such as a virtual receptionist, a toll free number, dial by name directory, professional greetings, and customized extensions give small businesses the presence of a large company.
Additional enhancements to my1voice include:
- More auto-attendant flexibility. Users can now specify how many times the auto-attendant message plays (from one to five times) before an action such as hanging up or going to an informational message occurs.
- The option to select a ring time up to two minutes. Small businesses are often operating at a hectic speed, so when 60 seconds isn’t enough time to reach the phone, users have the option to extend the ring for up to two minutes.
