Booyah’s new mobile app, MyTown, has ballooned to more than 825,000 registered users in less than two months.  Gaining steam from the initial launch in December 2009, MyTown reached #7 on the Apple App Store and continues to grow with an average of 100K new users registering online each week.  An immersive and addicting real world game experience, users of MyTown log over 60 minutes per day within the app to consume above 40 million virtual items each week, leading all other location-based applications.

“We are seeing players consume our virtual goods offerings with increasing velocity,” said Keith Lee, CEO, Booyah.

MyTown is a location-based app for the iPhone and iPod Touch built around local shops, restaurants, and hangouts.  Users check-in at real-world locations to level up, unlock rewards, and earn cash to buy their favorite real-life places.  MyTown offers a twist on other location-based apps, with an emphasis on compelling gameplay elements and unique real-world rewards.
