Pen and Multi-Touch Solution Provider Demonstrates N-trig Digital Pen Technology on Leading Tablets, Netbooks and Convertibles

KFAR SABA, Israel & AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- N-trig, providers of DuoSense®, a pen and projected capacitive multi-touch solution enabled over a single digitizer, will be featuring several new and advanced DuoSense enabled tablets, convertibles and netbooks at the 2011 SID Display Week Conference in Los Angeles, May 17-19th (Booth #1507).

N-trig will be demonstrating its pen and multi-touch capabilities on many of 2011’s most anticipated devices running over Windows and Android. N-trig executives will be on hand at this year’s event to provide insight into how the combined pen and multi-touch capabilities are changing the tablet market by creating a computing environment that enables true productivity and mobility.

Also being shown at this year’s event:

  • Digital PencilTM: A battery-powered stylus that enables a smooth, natural and productive Hands-on® writing experience, extending standard touch screen capabilities from a simple media consumption device to an advanced solution for content creation and enhanced productivity. The Digital Pencil complements the multi-touch functionality for a more interactive and creative approach to computing that cannot be achieved by touch alone.
  • N-act™ Gesture Vocabulary: This rich multi-touch gesture set offers a variety of advanced multi-touch gestures for a combination of 2+1, 3 and 4 fingers. The combined multi-touch and pen functionality opens up a new world of opportunities for a more advanced, intuitive and fun Hands-on user experience.
  • New DuoSense Chipset: The new chipset encapsulating N-trig’s most advanced pen and multi-touch technology, provides new features, such as ground breaking noise immunity, high sensitivity, reduced power consumption and increased memory supporting 10 fingers multi-touch at greater than 100 hertz refresh rate. The enhanced chipset will also provide OEMs with an improved feature set that will help them meet rapid market growth as demand continues to increase for pen and multi-touch solutions offering users better response time, higher precision and increased touch-screen sensitivity.

N-trig executives will also be addressing attendees at the SID Exhibitor’s Forum, during its hosted session, "Making Tablets Work for Consumers and Enterprise," on May 17th, at 5:00 PDT. This session will focus on the versatility of tablets and how multi-touch and pen will provide consumers and enterprise users with more productive devices. Additionally, N-trig will also present a session titled, “Bringing Pen Into the Conversation,” at The Future of Touch and Interactivity Conference on May 18th, at 9:15 PDT. This will take a closer look at how the inclusion of the pen on tablets is providing users a more comprehensive computing experience.
