Posted November 14, 2008

MySpace Canada, the world's most popular social
network today announced the availability of a new integrated MySpace social
networking mobile solution customized for BlackBerry(R) smartphones from
Research In Motion (RIM) (Nasdaq: RIMM; TSX: RIM). This launch is the most
recent in a series of initiatives that MySpace Canada has undertaken to extend
its brand across multiple platforms and innovate in the Canadian marketplace.
The new MySpace application for BlackBerry(R) smartphones provides
instant, push-based messaging of social content to BlackBerry(R) smartphone
and MySpace users. It gives users the tools to keep up to date with friends,
manage messages, upload photos to their profile and share them with their
friends. The application is now available to BlackBerry(R) smartphone users
globally. To download the MySpace application for BlackBerry(R) smartphones,
users can visit www.blackberry.com/myspace or m.myspace.com from their
BlackBerry(R) Browser.
A new community page on the MySpace web site for BlackBerry(R) smartphone
users is also launching today. From this page (www.myspace.com/blackberry),
BlackBerry(R) smartphone users can access content, videos, games, ringtones,
skins and other unique and engaging features.
"In a few years' time, we expect up to 50% of our traffic to be via
mobile devices," said Dave Stevens, General Manager for MySpace Canada.
"Millions of BlackBerry(R) smartphone users can now access MySpace content,
friend networks, and status and mood updates anywhere at any time. We're
confident we'll see growth in the use of MySpace Canada when people can access
their profiles on the go."
