News Corp’s Mobile Division Appoints New Legal Head

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Former senior vice president of Fox Licensing and Merchandising, Jamie Samson, has been appointed executive vice president of business and legal affairs, and general counsel for Jamba and Fox Mobile Entertainment. Samson will oversee all of Jamba’s and Fox Mobile Entertainment’s legal and business affairs, and supervise legal staff in Jamba’s Los Angeles and Berlin, Germany offices. Samson will report to Lucy Hood, CEO of Jamba and President of Fox Mobile Entertainment, and be based in Los Angeles.

Samson joins Jamba from a thriving tenure at Fox Licensing and Merchandising. She has served in various positions beginning as counsel for Fox Licensing in 1991, becoming vice president that same year and senior vice president in 1995. Samson has also overseen legal and business affairs for Fox's former video game production division. Previous to Fox, Samson started her career at MGM in New York, then moved to Los Angeles and worked at Lorimar as a TV attorney.
