Ontela Image Saving Solution Preloaded On Revolutionary Messaging Phone
Ontela, Inc. (http://www.ontela.com) today announced that Motorola is including Ontela's award winning photo saving service on the innovative new Hint QA30. Photos taken on the phone's 2.0 megapixel camera are automatically saved to the user's home PC, email, and/or favorite websites using Ontela's service, which normally retails for $2.99 per month. A free trial is available for owners of the Hint upon purchase.
In a 2008 study conducted by Ontela and published by Wireless Week, 90 percent of those surveyed said they want the ability to automatically save their camera phone pictures to their PC, email, and/or favorite websites, but only 19 percent were actually able to do it. Additional research showed that 70 percent would be willing to pay for a service that automatically saved their photos to the computer, and 41 percent would consider changing wireless carriers to get such a service.
"Our goal all along has been to make it completely seamless to get photos off the phone," said Dan Shapiro, CEO of Ontela. "The only tricky part was getting the service in consumers' hands. No longer! Now owners of the Hint can get all their photos to their PC, automatically."
The Motorola Hint is available in stores now.
