Former Clearwire and WebEx Executives to Guide Mobile Video and SMB Strategies

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- ooVoo today announced the election of Scott Richardson, former chief strategy officer of Clearwire Corporation, and David Berman, president and CEO of Affectiva, Inc., to the company’s board of directors. Richardson and Berman will help guide ooVoo’s Mobile and Small-and-Midsized (SMB) business strategies, bringing valuable leadership experience in sales, market strategy and product development across web-based video conferencing, wireless broadband, and networking communications industries.

At Clearwire, Richardson helped launch the company’s WiMax wireless broadband networks. Prior to that role, Richardson served as vice president of Intel's Mobility Group where he helped initiate and lead wireless broadband efforts including the company's development of WiMax chips for equipment and devices. At Intel, Richardson held a variety of leadership positions including general manager of Intel's OEM communication systems business, serving the networking and communications market, and positions in the company's Enterprise Server Group.

Berman leads Affectiva, Inc., the world's trusted provider of solutions for the measurement and communication of emotion, and he serves on the board of directors at Confidela. Berman began his professional career at Xerox Corporation and later worked in the Employer Services Division at Automatic Data Processing. As President of Worldwide Sales and Services at WebEx Communications, a Cisco company, he was responsible for the company’s $500M revenue plan, with a target of 50,000 subscription customers, as well as the WebEx go-to-market strategy.
