Papercutz and uclick Team Up to Bring Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys to Mobile Phones

Papercutz, a leading tween/teen graphic novel
publishing company, has teamed up with uclick, a
leader in digital entertainment, to bring two very
familiar titles to uclick's GoComics mobile comic book
reader. Everyone's favorite female sleuth, Nancy
Drew, and the classic detective team of The Hardy
Boys will join uclick's growing lineup of titles that
continues to entertain mobile users worldwide.

Both series, featuring original stories created
exclusively for the Papercutz graphic novels, will debut
on the popular mobile comic book reader in the winter
of 2007, with new chapters released weekly.
Optimized for the mobile screen, the comic book
reader delivers the full-color adventures in a rich,
multi-panel format, giving the user flexibility to freely
navigate through the series for hours of entertainment
on the go.

"Our mobile comic book reader brings the updated
adventures of these timeless heroes to mobile
screens everywhere," said uclick CEO Chris
Pizey, "Papercutz has done an incredible job
producing Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys stories
that appeal to a modern, tech-savvy audience, and
we're thrilled to be a part of their efforts to reach new
readers through mobile phones."

Launched over 75 years ago, Nancy Drew has been
through many changes over the decades - from the
early depression era of the 1930's to the electronic
age of the 21st century. In 2005, Papercutz released
the first in their new series of Nancy Drew graphic
novels with manga-style illustrations and
technological updates (like Nancy's hybrid car and
George's tablet PC), giving Nancy and her friends a
fresh look and a 21st century edge.

Established a few years earlier, The Hardy Boys
introduced readers to the amateur detective team of
brothers Frank and Joe Hardy. Like Nancy Drew, the
Hardy Boys have evolved over the decades with
a "floating timeline", in which their adventures take
place in the present day. In the first graphic novel of
the new Papercutz series, the boys journey to the
war-torn Middle East on an action-packed rescue
mission.

Nancy Drew and The Hardy Boys have been favorites
of the tween and teen set since their inception largely
because, as the technology around them has grown,
the classic sleuths' adventures have evolved and kept
pace. Over the years the beloved characters have
been adapted for animated and live-action TV shows,
movies, video games, and cutting edge, manga-style
graphic novels now optimized for mobile phone
screens.

"We're very excited to have our all-new comics of
these fabled series reach yet another audience in a
very cool platform," said Papercutz CEO Terry
Nantier. "Tweens are heavy users of cellphones; it'll
be fun for them to read these comics on the go! Nancy
and the Hardy Boys are staying cool and - now truly -
connected."

In addition to the new adventures of Nancy Drew and
The Hardy Boys, the star-studded GoComics mobile
lineup includes Jeff Smith's wildly popular Bone
series; the Shakti-style epics of Virgin Comics; the
sci-fi fantasy hits GØDLAND and Elephantmen; the
webcomic-turned-comic-book PvP; the manga and
anime horror import Guilstein; high-flying martial arts
fun starring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and
many more. The Gocomics mobile comic book reader
is available on all major carriers, including AT&T,
Sprint and Verizon.
