Stockholm, 2 June 2008 – Sweden’s PlusFourSix, has been selected by Norway’s leading network
operator, NetCom, to deliver its ground-breaking mobile music
initiative, NetCom FreeMusic. Launched today, NetCom FreeMusic is a
mobile marketing initiative incorporating music handsets from all
leading mobile handset manufacturers. Selected devices contain an
in-box voucher with a unique code, generated by PlusFourSix. When
activated via mobile, each code gives the purchaser access to an
unlimited number of full-length audio downloads for three months.

As
Scandinavia’s foremost enabler of mobile marketing, PlusFourSix has
been given responsibility for managing the entire mobile process, from
code activation, redemption and creation and management of the NetCom
FreeMusic mobile site to formatting and delivery of the music as full
length audio downloads. Formatting of tracks for mobile download was
carried out by PlusFourSix’s preferred partner for enhancement and
storage of large quantities of digital assets, Global Media Bank.

“PlusFourSix
has in-depth knowledge and experience of both the mobile and music
industries and has always considered music to be a key driver for
mobile because of its enduring appeal and high degree of perceived
value combined with consumer demand for access to music,” said Fredrik
Nyström, PlusFourSix CEO and co-founder. “Network operators are very
influential in the mobile arena and the introduction of music provides
opportunities for forward-thinking companies like Netcom to use
initiatives such as NetCom FreeMusic to meet consumer demand via a
cost-effective channel and at the same time fulfill key marketing goals
such as strengthening loyalty by providing a deeper brand experience,
supporting corporate positioning and communicating core brand values
directly to target audiences.”

According to IRM, (Swedish
Institute for Media Research and Statistics), PlusFourSix has a 20%
market share in mobile marketing in Sweden and is the leading mobile
content service provider to the Nordic music industry, counting major
and independent record labels, collection/copyright societies, handset
manufacturers, brands, media agencies and network operators amongst its
clients.
