Quattro Wireless Raises $12.3 Million in Series B Funding
WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quattro Wireless today announced that it has secured $12.3 million in Series B funding from Globespan Capital Partners and Highland Capital Partners. The Series B round, led by Globespan, brings the company’s total venture investment to $18 million, following a Series A financing led by Highland Capital Partners in 2006. By matching global advertisers with its network of exclusive publisher inventory, Quattro has already achieved success in creating adapted, brand-consistent mobile sites and campaigns for such premium brands as Gillette, Univision, Playboy, NFL.com, CoverGirl, and TheStreet.com.
The Series B funds will be used to launch the GetMobile™ platform: a comprehensive, self-service solution that enables advertisers and publishers to build, monetize, and measure their mobile presence using Quattro’s proprietary “juicing†technology, exclusive inventory, and deep reporting capabilities. Through the GetMobile Exchange, Quattro will also offer customers a cost-effective, bid-for-click solution that matches advertising and content with industry-leading transparency.
“We are excited about the momentum that Quattro has built in such a short amount of time, as more and more brands achieve meaningful returns on their mobile investments and embrace the mobile channel as an integral part of their marketing mix,†said Andy Goldfarb, co-founder and executive managing director at Globespan Capital Partners.
“Globespan has an exemplary track record of partnering with businesses and we are pleased to join their portfolio of companies,†said Andy Miller, CEO of Quattro Wireless. “This funding will allow Quattro to expand its mission to provide publishers with the tools to develop a dynamic, mobile Web presence across all carriers and handsets while offering advertisers a deep network of exclusive publisher inventory to build brand awareness and maximize direct response dollars from mobile.â€ÂÂ
