Highlights

The smartphone market is still experiencing strong growth, with 152 new smartphone models launched in the last year. From a platform perspective, Android continues to cement its lead, and is now found on 94 separate handset models.

From a software capability perspective, support for Adobe Flash 10 continues to grow, with 10 devices now supporting the cross-platform applications framework.

On the hardware front, ARM Cortex A8 chipsets are set to replace ARM 11-based chipsets as the dominant CPU in the next quarter.
