SCARFACE: Money, Power, Respect Game Hits the Streets on Mobile Phones
Universal Pictures Digital Platforms Group today expanded its lineup
of category-leading Scarface mobile content with the launch of a new
mobile game, SCARFACE: Money, Power, Respect (MPR) where fans can
assume the role of Tony Montana as he makes a name for himself in the
streets of Miami. Also available is a brand new slate of Scarface: MPR
themed ringtones, ringbacks and graphics.
The new Scarface: MPR lineup comes on the heels of the immensely
popular inaugural offering of Scarface-themed mobile content which made
its original debut in 2006. The lineup went on to sell millions of
downloads including the most popular voicetone of 2007 featuring the
unforgettable quote from the film, "Say hello to my little friend"
(Source: Nielsen RingScan).
In recognition of the fast-approaching 25th anniversary of
"Scarface" (1983), Universal is introducing more content for fans, such
as movie-related graphics and voicetones, and more bad guys to
challenge Tony Montana in his latest hustle in the new mobile game.
"'Scarface' is an enduring film with a massive fan base and
widespread mobile appeal as evidenced by our phenomenal success last
year," said Jeremy Laws, Senior Vice President, Mobile & Broadband,
Universal Pictures Digital Platforms. "This newest installment of
Scarface mobile content builds on that success, taking the film's
famous theme of Money, Power, Respect to the next level with a fun,
modern twist."
In the new game, SCARFACE: Money, Power, Respect, players step into
the shoes of the infamous Tony Montana as they attempt to rise through
the ranks of the Miami crime world. Along the way they engage in
high-pressure deals, intense battles against scores of rival gangsters,
deadly ambushes, and high-speed getaways on their way to building up a
crime empire and the eventual takeover of Miami.
Content is available for purchase directly through major carrier
networks or by texting MPR to 55655 for the game, Tones to 55655 for

About "Scarface"
"Scarface" is the unforgettable story of a ruthless immigrant's
rapid rise and fall as the underworld kingpin of South Florida. Tony
Montana (Al Pacino) flees Castro's Cuba along with his close friend
Manny Ray (Steven Bauer) for a dead-end life on the streets of Miami.
Foul-mouthed, ambitious and brutal, Tony's talent for violence plunges
him into the treacherous world of big time cocaine dealing. Rising to
the top of a drug and blood-soaked empire using increasingly vicious
tactics, Tony destroys anyone in his way and takes whatever he wants --
including his rival's woman, Elvira (Michelle Pfeiffer). But his
intensifying paranoia eventually traps Tony in a web of deceit that
will ultimately destroy him.
