Sony Ericsson's Application Submission Now Open to Developers World Wide

Starting today, the Sony Ericsson application submission site http://submit.sonyericsson.com/  is open to all developers. Applications can be submitted to PlayNow^TM arena as well as to the established application service, Fun & Downloads. Initially, developers for Java^TM ME and Symbian OS are invited to become part of this ecosystem, which gives access to an installed base of over 200 million Sony Ericsson phone users. Later this year, the process will also cover additional mobile software platforms.
 
"There is huge consumer interest in applications that make communication a more personal and enhanced entertainment experience. We recognise that it needs to be simple and attractive for developers to reach those consumers and that there need to be established content channels through which to push creative applications. Our new application submission process addresses these needs, giving developers easy-to-use access to the Sony Ericsson PlayNow^TM arena market place" said Christopher David, Head of Developer and Partner Engagement at Sony Ericsson.
