Wireless Matrix Appoints Mary Foltz to Vice President of Products and Marketing


Mobile Data Veteran Brings Over 20 Years of Industry Experience to GPS Fleet Tracking Leader

HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Wireless Matrix (TSX: WRX), a leading provider of GPS fleet tracking services, announced today that it has appointed Mary Foltz to the executive position of vice president responsible for products and marketing.

Foltz brings over 20 years of relevant product management, mobile data and wireless communications experience to the role. She will oversee management and marketing of the company’s FleetOutlook® suite of GPS fleet tracking products and report directly to President and CEO J. Richard Carlson.

Prior to joining Wireless Matrix, Foltz served as a senior consultant for TMNG Global, a world-wide provider of telecommunications consulting services, and was the co-founder and VP of marketing and product management for AirArts, a Reston, VA-based mobile data technology firm. She served for 10 years as a director and senior product manager for Sprint Nextel, beginning with Nextel’s original wireless data team in 1997. Over the course of her career with the company, she led Sprint Nextel to industry leadership in location-based services (LBS). The company captured 53% market share (NPD Group 2006) and was recognized as the LBS Company of the Year in 2007 by Frost & Sullivan.

In addition, she worked as a director of wireless business development and marketing for Bellcore/Telcordia (now SAIC), director of product line management for RAM Mobile Data (acquired by Bell South), and project manager for GE Information Services.
