ZILLIONTV ADDS MLB.COM TO ITS LINE-UP OF TOP CONTENT PROVIDER PARTNERS
ZillionTV Will Now Offer MLB.com Content, Including Archived Games of the Week, Classic Match-Ups and Daily FastCast Video Recaps, All On-Demand
Sunnyvale, CA, December 16, 2009 –ZillionTV, a first-of-its-kind personalized video service, hits another milestone today with the addition of MLB.com, the official Web site of Major League Baseball, to its powerhouse line-up of major content providers. MLB.com programming coming to the ZillionTV™ Service spans from archived games of the week to classic games and FastCast video recaps. All MLB.com content will be offered as advertising-supported video-on-demand (AVOD) programs, meaning that ZillionTV viewers get free access in exchange for watching a select set of ads at the start of the program.

The addition of MLB.com programming reinforces a number of important elements of the ZillionTV model. It underscores the value of viewer flexibility by adjusting programming availability to better suit the changing lifestyle and viewing behaviors of today’s multi-screen viewer and supports the value of this new delivery approach to content owners and advertisers alike. Also, this agreement demonstrates that content providers can generate new revenue streams from valuable on-demand programming without additional costs to viewers.
ZillionTV viewers have three possible viewing choices depending upon what options are offered by each content owner tied to its specific programming: they watch ad-supported programs for free, rent programs for a nominal fee, or “buy to own.” In addition, the ZillionTV Service allows viewers the option to personalize their viewing experience when viewing free, ad-supported programs by selecting advertising categories based on their interests and watching ads that are more personally relevant. Viewers can also opt not to select any ad categories and simply see randomly-displayed ads.
ZillionTV is currently in its pilot launch phase and is scheduled for nationwide availability in the second half of 2010.
