Verizon Wireless and LG launched a new version of last year's Chocolate handset [1] that adds a "new navigation wheel with Trace Motion light." The latest genesis of the Chocolate is also "thinner and sleeker" than its predecessor, coming in at 3.85" x 1.87" x 0.67" and weighing just 3.24 ounces. The phone also has a microSD card slot that can support up to a 4GB card.
The newest Chocolate by LG will be available in Verizon Stores nationwide for $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate with a new 2 year agreement.
Here's what some of the blogs are saying about the latest Chocolate:
Gizmodo: "We're still very skeptical, but we're willing to play around with this one [2], to see if any of the predecessor's slew of problems--no drag-and-drop music loading, touch of cheek sets off functions during call, etc.--have been fixed."
Engadget: "Lock switch on the side, and what appears to be a true 3.5mm headphone jack [3] (still an all-too-rare feature on handsets)."
