Flat rate carrier MetroPCS reported total revenues of $551 million, an increase of 50 percent over Q2 2006. MetroPCS generated a net income of $58 million versus $23 million for the Q2 2006, an increase of 153 percent. The carrier also added 155,000 subscribers during the quarter for a total of 609,000 added year-to-date. Year-over-year, ARPU increased $0.32 and the carrier's cost per gross addition (CPGA) stayed more or less the same: $124.79, but that's still low for the industry.
