BlackBerry maker Research In Motion has decided to establish its U.S. headquarters in Irving, Texas, which is a suburb of Dallas. The Ontario-based company plans to employ more than 1,000 people at the new Irving offices within the next couple of years. Exxon-Mobil, Kimberly-Clark and Zale are all also based in Irving, as are a number of large telecommunications and public relations companies. RIM will occupy more than 100,000 square feet in a recently renovated six-building office complex on 13 acres of land.
