At first blush it might seem like 2007 was a rough year for Qualcomm. Between losing a controversial ITC ruling [1] regarding 3G phone patents to Broadcom that led to a subsequent ban on its phones from entering the U.S. to Verizon Wireless choosing LTE as its next-generation network technology [2], the year seemed like a bleak one for the company. However, Qualcomm's financial outlook is as strong as ever [3].
