Ericsson has inked two big deals in China that are worth a combined $1.44 billion to the vendor: China Mobile inked a $1.3 billion contract with the company while China Unicom inked a $140 million deal. Ericsson will provide China Mobile with core and radio equipment as well as related technical support to expand the carrier's GSM/GPRS rollout in 19 regions across China. Ericsson is also providing China Unicom with its GSM networks in 10 regions around the country, including Beijing, which is a new market for the vendor.
