RadioShack will sell a $99 lightweight Acer netbook with a two-year wireless data contract from AT&T.
The netbook, the Acer Aspire, will be available beginning Dec. 14 for $99.99 for customers who sign a two-year AT&T DataConnect mobile broadband contract. The offer will be available in 4,400 RadioShack stores through Dec. 24. The netbook will have an 8.9-inch LCD screen, an Intel Atom processor, a gigabyte of RAM, a 160GB hard drive.
AT&T has recently been aggressive in its embedded laptop push. The company also is working with Ericsson and Lenovo to offer HSPA-enabled laptops.
