Verizon Wireless launched the LG Versa, a new phone with a detachable keyboard, that straddles the line between being a simple touchscreen phone and a quick-messaging phone.
The phone has an animated 3-D interface and users can customize three different home screens with their favorite shortcuts. The phone also has a 2-megapixel camera, a music player that can run while users perform other tasks, a microSD slot capable of holding up to 16GB and Bluetooth 2.1. The Versa also features mobile instant messaging, web browsing with Flash compatibility, VCast music and is VZ Navigator-capable.
The phone will be available online and in stores on March 1 for $199.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.
