Ericsson has added a new twist to the debate over netbooks. One of the potential drawbacks of netbooks that are bundled with 3G mobile broadband is that a customer could stop paying their bill and still have a functional netbook. Ericsson's new mobile broadband card, called the F3607gw, seeks to solve the problem with a kill switch that will lock down the hard drive and the computer itself by sending a remote SMS to the machine.
