The San Joaquin Valley in central California is notorious for its fog. To help protect drivers, the California Department of Transportation and the California Highway Patrol deployed a WiMAX system to help monitor road conditions. In its third installment in a series on wireless broadband deployment in rural communities, FierceBroadbandWireless took a look at this system.
