SPOTLIGHT: Verizon Wireless to Test EV-DO Rev A

Verizon Wireless said it plans to begin testing CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision A network technology in 2006. Rev A is capable of supporting various forms of IP communication including VoIP. The carrier completed its first tests of the technology using base station gear and software from Lucent and a Qualcomm terminal. Article [1]
