PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Telephone Capacity on Demand [1] is a new, innovative business telephone service [2] that allows customers to flexibly "borrow" call capacity from Douglas Telecom. It enables businesses to process a large number of incoming calls with only a small number of telephone lines onsite. And it gives any business the ability to reduce the number of their current lines without the risk of losing calls to busy signals.
Douglas Telecom eliminates the need for subscribing to extra telephone lines simply to mitigate the possibility of incoming callers not being able to get through. Instead, businesses can simply "borrow" the temporarily needed capacity from Douglas Telecom and never lose a call to a busy signal.
Since a typical call is on hold for no longer than a few minutes, it makes sense to simply borrow the capacity when needed, instead of paying to have the extra telephone lines active at all times, to process these calls on site. This service gives users the ability to create additional routing to alternative locations or telephone numbers on schedule or on demand. And it gives flexibility to the business to grow, without being concerned about entering into long term contracts for telephone lines to handle anticipated call traffic that has not yet materialized.
Douglas Telecom prices this service at $2.50 per call queue per month. Each call queue has its own music on hold, custom messages and dialing features. The per minute charge for calls held in the call queue is only 0.5 cents. From the call queue calls may be routed to landlines, cell phones or VoIP lines (additional costs may apply). A typical configuration for calls to be routed to a certain number of landlines would be around $12.50/month plus 1.5 cents/minute of usage.
Even small businesses with three lines can benefit from this service. A business with over ten lines could save up to 50% off their current telephone bill, gain additional flexibility and improve their professional image.
Telephone Capacity on Demand [1] can be combined with Douglas Telecom's telephone service [2], toll free numbers [3], business VoIP [2] or hosted PBX [4].
