Nokia and Siemens announced that their joint venture of their respective networking units [1] will start sharing its product portfolio plans with customers and employees in early February, an announcement we believe is timed to make it a hot topic at the upcoming 3GSM show in Barcelona next month. In December, Nokia announced it would delay the deal because of the corruption probe into Siemens [2], but today the two companies announced the merger will run its course before the end of March. The full integration of the two portfolios should be achieved in early 2011--pushed back from the original plan to integrate by the end of 2010.
