FierceWireless Hands On with the Android Emulator

We downloaded the Android SDK for Windows and unzipped it within a few minutes. Inside the files there is an emulator of the phones that you can play with to see the capabilities first hand as well as test out some of your own apps as you experiment. In this slideshow we poked around some of the features of the Emulator including some of the Graphics Demos, the browser, the Maps functions, and Contacts.

After a few DOS Shell screens pop up, you get to see this minimalist startup screen set on smartphone-esque skin.
