You have on one side of the ring the iPhone and RIM, and on the other Microsoft with a new update for Windows Mobile 6.1 about to come out... and the only game for business products in available. Now Palm who will not even talk to a developer thinks all the kids and adults will drop down and give thanks for another choice. Anyone care to explain how the think they have a prayer when even Microsoft admires the iPhone OS and knows at the end of the day only Apple and themselves will be left standing?

This is the first phone to make the iPhone look old and outdated!

I used to think that way but now realized how wrong I was!. I have used iPhone for over a year and it is pretty much better than most but not really acceptable. It works well as an iPod and an Internet tablet but not so on phone and SMS messaging. I would speculate that 70% of demanding iPhone users will switch to the Pre if it delivers on its promise. It will take about 50% of WinMo users as well. If the software evolves well with 2 to 5 feature improvements every quarter, it will overtake the iPhone in 6 quarters. That is, if Apple stands still like what they have done for some time.

So a strong battle is brewing and it will NOT be in the courts but in the market place.
