Top Handsets in December

It is far enough along into 2009 that research firms are able to take a look back at figure out what some of the top handsets were to close out 2008. ComScore m:Metrics has released there survey results for December. The top 5 most acquired devices were:

1. Research In Motion's BlackBerry Curve 8330
2. LG Dare VX9700;
3. Apple's iPhone 3G (8GB)
4. Samsung-U340 Snap
5. Kyocera Marbl

The data are based on a monthly online survey of mobile subscribers for the three-month average ending December 31 2008. ComScore obtains the data by asking consumers which phone they own, and whether the device was acquired in the previous month. Here's a closer look at the phones.
