everyone is talking about the lack of lines for the Droid and All the lines there are for Iphone releases. Could that possibly be due to the fact that there are so many more verizon stores than Apple Stores? I think that may have something to do with the Lines being shorter.

dont try to outdo apple in mktg - you will only end up looking silly

The iPhone is not just sold at Apple stores, it's also sold at AT&T stores.

Which AT&T has just as many, if not more, stores than VZ. You, dude at the top, are an absolute moron!

hey....hey...thats mean lmao

There were lots of people in line for the iPhone everywhere. Where did that get them when they had to wait more than a day to activate their phone on AT&Ts network?

idk i think the droid will be irrelevant by the end of the year. with the x10 being announced and sprint coming out with several new android phones next year it just seems like it'll be outdated technologically once other android phones come out with 2.0

Went to Verizon and got hands on with the Droid.
It's not living up to the marketing hype leading up to todays launch. Quite Frankly , a HUGE disappointment. To net it out. The Droid really sucks.

Day One: The Droid was on sale in Best Buy, Wal-mart and even Sears. Best Buy offered a pre-purchase (what I did)...

I ambled into my local BB at around 11am to get my guaranteed device (BTW: I am VERY happy with it. My wife has an iPhone 3G and comparatively, it's a dog with poor resolution, less functional applications (check out WHERE on Android vs the iPhone)...

The iPhone has gone the way of the Razr - great ground-breaking phone & freakin' everyone has one
but the Droid?

The Droid takes it to another level.

It's really become an us versus them scenario huh? In the 60's you were either a Rolling Stones fan or a Beatles fan. Fast forward to today (at least in the gadget world) it's iPhone vs Android.

I for one have used both and will go Android EVERY time. I own a Droid and love it.

I think Droid owners are familiar with iPhone but iPhone owners (who are SO loyal to Apple) have their heads stuck in the sand (or somewhere else) and HAVE NOT TRIED the Droid (or any other Android device)...

They don't know what they're missing - and I don't care...

Multi-tasking apps rock...

I can't imagine NOT being able to listen to a song while checking email or calendar entries or web browsing...

The once almighty iPhone now sucks.

Who cares about 100,000 apps? Who's going to download 100,000 apps? Most of them are duplicates anyway and all the good stuff is on (or soon to be on) an Android platform...
