BARCELONA, Spain--The Mobile World Congress show floor is typically the location of the most extravagant and exaggerated displays in the wireless world. Traveling across the venue a MWC attendee can see the latest technologies, the most advanced hardware and the craziest booths, events and performances showing it all off.

The GSMA said the 2013 Mobile World Congress attracted more than 72,000 attendees, surpassing the 67,000 who were at the 2012 show and setting a new record. Further, the trade group said the show had more than 1,700 exhibiting companies across more than 1 million net square feet of exhibition and hospitality space.

Thus, it's no surprise that those companies exhibiting went all out to attract attendees' eyes and interest. From the interesting to the amazing to the strange, this is the 2013 Mobile World Congress show floor.
