Why it was a Fierce 15: Push-to-talk was a hot wireless application back in 2004. Fastmobile had developed a PTT client that allowed users to send and receive instant voice messages without the need of a carrier-based service or additional hardware. Fastmobile was a Symbian Platinum Partner and a member of Ericsson Mobility World. The company launched a trial in 2003 with Orange U.K., and had has a partnership with Samsung to bundle its fastchat with some of Samsung's phones. Click here for more.
