iPhone vs. Instinct
Despite some new features and faster internet speeds, the iPhone 3G saw less fanfare than its predecessor. I like my Instinct so far. I compared it to my friends Iphone and there are some fetures she has on her phone that i liked but you know the internet was alot faster on mine then her's. I have been at places where I have just clicked on CNN and watched the news or even here at work where I cant realy get on the internet unless its work related. I got on and watched live TV during my lunch. So yea I like my Instict it has been great.
If you take away the Apple-esque niche of the iPhone, seems like the Instinct wins hands-down when just comparing two high-end, multi-function wireless devices.
Sprint has 5x the 3G coverage today vs AT&T, despite any ads to the contrary, so speed is just much more consistently available on the Instinct. Also, the removeable, swappable LiO batteries that Instinct offers are a must for heavy users. Add live TV, & a couple other minor things like better GPS-nav & voice-activated dialing, & Instinct comes out on top. Not to mention it costs less. :)
There will always be devout Apple fans who think differently, and their dedication is unmatched, but Instinct is a great product.
Live Search + Sprint Navigation = no contest. Instinct all the way!
I did a pretty careful comparision of both phones and ended up buying the Instinct and I'm very happy with it but the web browser is not as good as the iPhone but I love watching live TV and all that. I gave the Instinct the advantage in many areas and the iPhone a heads-up in web browsing and video picture quality only.
Just wait until Clearwire (Sprint) rolls out WiMAX. going to blow away the 3G iPhone!
The iPhone has the advantage with the flashiness of the UI - animations are pleasing to the eye. However, unless you want to be, it is a bad thing to be stuck into iTunes world. Your are basically funneled into content and apps controlled and allowed by Apple. The Instinct leaves you stuck with Java only apps. Get an open smartphone. 2nd Generation LiMo, Android, and ALP devices will be nice.
Ok the iPhone wins hands-down! It has a lot better graphics and UI and stuff. My friend has the Instinct and its alright, Live TV is a great advantage but the iPhone has Youtube on it and you cannot send mms but thats not so bad and you can get Live TV if you get a jailbreak iPhone and then it wins by far. The iPhone is just better technology, and it has an iPod built into it.
iPhone, its gunna change everything...

Instinct all the way! And gosh you apple fanboys are evrywhere. instinct is faster because of EVDO.Rev.A and the phone looks cooler, has better gps,and when wimax rolls out...... Wel just think,
GAME OVER. Instinct wins!!!!!
also.. live T.v. is a great feature that the iphone doesnt. Overall they are both good phones but instinct wins because of the faster internet and extra and easier to use feature
Instinct all the way!
The only thing that could make the instinct better is if it actually worked. Other than that ... superb!
Well, unless Sprint decides to get off their butts, when my contract ends, I'm jumping ship. No reason to have the Instinct (I have a Mogul now) when I'm stuck with dial-up speeds (my city of over 200,000 people is still 1X--not EVDO). So, for me, AT&T is the faster network. Sprint says they're going EVDO here, but they've been saying that for a couple of years now.
