What has happened since it was awarded the Fierce 15: Despite troubles in the muni WiFi market, Tropos remains active in the space. The company today claims more than 750 customers in 30 countries, including Oklahoma City and Mountain View, Calif. Further, the company is expanding into the smart grid market with its GridCom architecture, and counts Anderson Municipal Light and Power, Lafayette Utilities System and Burbank Water and Power as utilities customers.
