After the high-profile launch of its suite of mobile content services, U.K. carrier 3 has decided to do away with roaming fees in select countries. The roaming fees for U.K. customers traveling in Italy, Australia and Ireland, among others will no longer be in effect for 3 subscribers. Users will automatically gain the service with no one-off fees. Since each of those countries has its own 3 network, the move is not as drastic as it sounds.
