Italian operator 3 Italia has deployed enhanced-HSPA using equipment from Ericsson. The operator claims it's the first carrier in the world to deploy the technology, which provides uplink speeds of 5.8 Mbps and reduced network latency. The upgrade will provide enhanced customer experience in video conferencing, user-generated content and email. Press release
