The wireless industry is impatiently waiting for the 700 MHz spectrum auction to wrap up as the bidding surpassed the 200th round yesterday. Earlier this morning in the 207th round of bidding, five bids were cast by the still anonymous bidders and each averaged about $16,000. Considering the auction has raised nearly $19.6 billion since it opened on January 24, the most recent rounds have been considerably insignificant. The auction should end any day now.
