Alcatel-Lucent's board seeks CEO ouster rules, is Russo's job in jeopardy?

Alcatel-Lucent shareholders will hold their annual meeting May 30 and will vote on a resolution that would enable the board to remove the CEO by a majority vote rather than the two-thirds vote currently required. Of course, this move leads to speculation that CEO Patricia Russo could be ousted. The vendor hasn't turned a quarterly profit since Alcatel and Lucent formalized their merger in December 2006, and rumors of a Russo ouster continue to circulate from time to time.
