Alltel launches TimecardGPS for the enterprise

Alltel Wireless launched a location-based services application that allows enterprises to track an employee's location, to record shift times and to capture job or work order information. The application, called TimecardGPS, is available for a monthly fee of $12.49 per handset. Employers can request field workers' locations, track their movements and set up "smart fences" to receive alerts when an employee moves into certain areas. The app also enables employees to "clock-in" and out from their wireless device.
