Android or iOS: Which platform is better for HTML5?

In early December, Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) released the latest major upgrade to its Android mobile operating system, Android 4, codenamed Ice Cream Sandwich. For Web developers, this represented a prime litmus test of Android: Could HTML5 be a viable cross-platform solution for building on both Apple's (NASDAQ:AAPL) iOS and Android? Mobile application development firm Sencha examined both iOS 5 and Ice Cram Sandwich to understand what each platform offers the Web application developer and its specific advantages and merits. The company looked at Android's advances in its webKit browser as well as how iOS 5 stacks up in terms of API support. Commentary
