Auction bidders' upfront payments due today

Today marks another deadline for the 700 MHz auction: bidders must make their upfront payments, which vary according to which spectrum slices the bidders aim to buy. Also, the 170 applicants with incomplete applications have until the end of the day to rectify their status. The FCC said the deadline for making the upfront payments is 6 p.m. EST. The auction is slated to begin on January 24.
