Best Buy offering Sprint Android phones for $100

Tools

Best Buy Mobile is offering Sprint Nextel's two Android-powered smartphones at a large discount, cutting the price to $99.99 with a two-year contract through December. The two phones, the Samsung Moment and the HTC Hero, normally retail for $179.99 with a two-year contract and after a $50 mail-in rebate.

The new offer is the latest by Best Buy to increase its prominence in mobile retail, and comes just ahead of the holiday shopping season, when other retailers are offering similar discounts. In announcing the price cuts to Sprint's Android phones, Best Buy touted the wide array of smartphones and high-end mobile products it is offering, including Nokia's Booklet 3G, the company's first netbook.

Best Buy is not the only retailer to entice customers to buy smartphones though. This week, Wal-Mart is offering a $100 gift card to customers who buy select BlackBerry devices from Research In Motion.

Meanwhile, I need to pay $400 as an existing customer for the Hero...Fanks for the thucking!

I think it's deceptive to say the price is only $100 because the truth is its $275 if you cancel your service you have to pay the early termination fee.

the Nielsen ratings said the average cellphone bill is $78 per month multiply that by 24 months then add the $100 that's the true price. truly unlimited service plans for $45 a month, would save the user a minimum of $33 per month and be able to talk in text without ever having to worry about another higher bill, and that's the good deal so what do the cell phone companies do raised the early termination fee to $350 can you say screwed?
