In BlackBerry battle, Bold has WiFi access, Storm does not
Fives days from the launch of Research In Motion's BlackBerry Bold, AT&T Mobility is firing the first salvo in its upcoming battle with the BlackBerry Storm, which Verizon Wireless is launching later in November, saying the Bold will have free access to all of AT&T's WiFi hotspots.
AT&T said that when the Bold launches Nov. 4 it will have full access to the 17,000 WiFi hotspots the carrier has in the many Starbucks stores, hotels, bookstores and airports across the country.
The Storm, which Verizon reportedly will launch Nov. 16, will not have WiFi capabilities. Verizon, however, is hoping that its virtual QWERTY keyboard, accelerometer, cut-and-paste features and general appeal will make the device popular with consumers.

I am still buying the STORM verizon has a better 3g network that is faster I already returned my Iphone. I got sick and tired of the thing loosing calls while I was in the middle of town. HURRY UP Verizon!
Verizon sucks. They charge their current customers more for phones than new customers that they are trying to sucker (I mean lure) into going with them. I went to Sprint.
you think Verizon has a 3G network? haha You might want to do your homework.
i did my homework and i got an "a",
i bet you failed it...
They made the pda affordable, but they are making up for it with the over priced data plans.
I think the Black Berry Storm will be a positive asset to the Verizon family and their sales will be phenomenal.
Not to mention their coverage is truly remarkable where my T-Mobile doesn't get signal and that's in the city where I live.
All in all the various Wireless Phone creators have great concepts but their isn't the perfect phone.
I am certainly looking forward towards the release of the Black Berry Storm and I will be in line to purchase it on November 21, 2008.
Also, I do not work for any of these companies disclaimer be aware!
As a current and longtime Verizon customer, I will jump ship if the Storm is too much more than the promotional price.
I agree with it being a great phone coming out but the Wi Fi is a big thing. Especially when their data plan is so expensive. Most Business phones have Wi Fi.
let's hope verizon includes wi fi in the near future on the storm phone. either way it's has great cool fetures.
