Following yesterday's news of French regulators fining three French carriers a total of $630 million for price fixing, one of the carriers, Bouygues, announced it had filed a complaint with the EU Commission against Freemove, the pan-European alliance for mobile roaming, for restricting access to the international mobile calling market. The Freemove alliance includes Orange, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica. Interestingly, Bouygues Telecom had filed the complaint in July but has just gotten around to announcing today. The other two French carriers fined yesterday were Orange and SFR.
