Canadian operators sued over text message fees

Canadian operators Telus and Bell Mobility are being sued by consumers for charging for incoming text messages. The operators had not been charging for incoming SMS but recently announced that they would start charging 15 cents per incoming text, regardless of whether the SMS was spam. Outraged consumers have filed suit saying that they think the actions are illegal because they change the terms of the cellular contract. Article
