Cingular to bow BlackBerry "Pearl"

Tools

T-Mobile had an exclusive with RIM for the handset they dubbed the BlackBerry Pearl (photo), now Cingular is launching its own Cingular-branded Blackberry Pearl, which it calls the 8100, instead. While the phone's specs are similar to the T-Mobile version, Cingular has added support for its push-to-talk service. The carrier has yet to announce a release date, but reports circulating the Internet indicate the handset should launch on November 21.
